Watch: Chicago FFs Battle 3-Alarm Industrial Fire

June 27, 2022
The Chicago Fire Department battled high heat, large flames and hazardous materials at an industrial building on Chicago's Northwest Side.

A massive fire broke out at an industrial building in the 100-block of North Nashville Avenue near Irving Park Road on Chicago's Northwest Side Sunday

ABC 7 Chicago reported that heat posed as one of the challenges Chicago firefighters faced while battling the large flames.

The Chicago Fire Department posted on social media, calling this a "Level 1 HazMat" fire, which, at one point, caused a partial roof collapse.

The fire was raised to a third alarm because of an issue with hydrant access.

It is unclear if there was or how many people were inside at the time.

However, the last update from authorities is that there were no injuries.
